For those who prefer a more independent approach, the app generates customized mood boards, based on personalized surveys, inspiring users to explore new styles and express themselves authentically. Whether the user is seeking the expertise of a seasoned stylist or prefer the autonomy of self-expression, Style Trend is their go-to destination for cultivating a wardrobe that truly reflects them.

In today's fashion landscape, several challenges prevent individuals from fully embracing their personal style and making sustainable fashion choices:

Style Trend user research served as the cornerstone of my design process, helping me understand the evolving needs, preferences, and challenges of our target audience.
Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, I gathered invaluable insights to inform the creation of a user-centric platform tailored to meet the diverse needs of fashion enthusiasts.

  • Understanding User Needs: I aimed to gain a deep understanding of the fashion preferences, styling challenges, and desired features of my target audience.
  • Exploring Pain Points: I wanted to identify the primary pain points and frustrations experienced by individuals when it comes to personal style discovery, wardrobe management, and sustainable fashion choices.
  • Assessing Market Trends: I conducted research to stay informed about emerging trends in the fashion industry, including shifts towards sustainable fashion practices, digital styling, and virtual wardrobe management tools.

Research Methods

  • Surveys and Questionnaires: I created online surveys and questionnaires and distributed them to a diverse group of participants, collecting quantitative data on fashion habits, style preferences, and attitudes towards sustainability.
  • In-depth Interviews: I conducted one-on-one interviews with selected participants to dive deeper into their experiences, motivations, and pain points related to personal style and wardrobe management.

  • Educational Resources: In the future, I am planning on integrating educational content on fashion trends, body positivity, and sustainable fashion practices to empower users with knowledge and inspire conscious consumer behavior.

By incorporating some of these insights into our design process, I aim to create a user experience that not only meets the functional needs of my audience but also resonates with their aspirations for self-expression, sustainability, and community connection.
